And so this year begins a new blog and a new challenge inspired by Julie and Julia. I loved that movie and the challenge she gave herself and completed with her blog.
So I'm happy to announce my challenge this year, which is to. knit a birthday gift for those who are important to me.
So far I've completed a scarf for Betty.
This scarf was inspired by a pattern called Eva for a hood scarf.
And I'm almost done with Billy's birthday hat. I'm the designer of this pattern. I'll be adding a brim to it at his request.
Next up on the agenda is a hat for Uncle Allen. His birthday is the 14th and I'll have to mail it to Utah. (Yes, there are Black people in Utah.)
